Arab Investment Company GCC Islamic Banks Index: AICFL
The Index currently encompasses 15 GCC Islamic Banks, which are the only listed Islamic banks in the GCC. The index will be modified by deletion/addition if any of these banks is delisted, or if new Islamic GCC banks are listed. The system is perfectly automated. If any data is not available, the system will spool data and capture the latest available within the previous 250 days. The system provides two different readings: Price Performance and Total Return (Price Performance +Distributions). Both readings are rebased from 01/01/2008 to 1000. The index has been running since 01/01/2008, and went live on 18/08/2008.
Arab Investment Company Kuwait Islamic Index: AICFL2
The index encompasses KSE-listed Islamic companies whose operations are fully conforming to the Islamic Sharia. The Index may be modified by deletion/addition if any of these companies is delisted or becomes non-Sharia conform, or if new Sharia-conform companies are listed on the Kuwait Stock Exchange. The system is perfectly automated. If share price updates are not available, the system will spool data and capture the latest of the previous 250 days.
The system provides two different readings: Price Performance and Total Return (Price Performance + Distributions). Both readings are rebased from 01/01/2008 to 1000. The index has been running since 01/01/2008, and went live on 10/08/2009.
